Palette families and font choices

Begin with the Absolutely pair#

Choose Absolutely or Absolutely Dark in Appearance → Theme. These provide the family’s warm light/dark starting point. The wider pack includes thirty-six registered choices; the variant reference lists the exact names.

The collection includes familiar palette adaptations and additional choices such as Codex, Proof, Lobster, Matrix, Oscurange, Sentry, and Temple. Similar names in other theme plugins do not imply the same resource, registration, or settings.

Compare the source and UI#

The screenshots illustrate light and dark treatments around the same Java source. Inspect comments, annotations, strings, types, current line, Project selection, and active tab. Use a matching editor scheme to evaluate the supplied combination.

The reading samples provide repeatable text when switching among choices. Keep display brightness and font size unchanged while evaluating palette differences.

Choose an optional font#

Absolutely’s own font settings offer the default JetBrains Mono, Styrene B, and Source Serif 4 preferences. Styrene B is a separately licensed commercial font; it is not supplied by selecting the preference. Source Serif 4 also needs to be available on the machine.

The plugin falls back to available fonts, ultimately JetBrains Mono. A selected preference therefore does not prove that the named font was installed. Confirm the actual rendering before diagnosing a palette difference as a font problem.

Understand the pack’s scope#

These themes change appearance. The Claude Code-inspired styling and Codex palette names do not connect the IDE to an AI service. Follow font and scheme settings for customization.
