What ePaper Theme provides, its requirements, and where to start.

On this page

ePaper creates a quiet, paper-like workspace with restrained colors, clear surface separation, and matching custom icons. Five variants cover bright, warm, accessible, and dark environments.

Requirements#

The documented release is 2026.1.1. Its Marketplace compatibility starts at IntelliJ Platform build 241.0. Check the Marketplace compatibility list for your IDE edition and version before installing.

Current limitations#

The theme cannot simulate a physical e-ink display. Islands-style geometry depends on the host IDE; older supported versions retain compatible colors and component styling.
