Configuration
Settings, tools, and project configuration for Gruvbox Dark.
Apply a full theme#
Open Settings → Appearance & Behavior → Appearance → Theme, choose a registered Gruvbox Dark variant, and apply it. This selects UI colors and its matching editor scheme. Open a source file, a tool window, and a popup to check the complete result.
Customize the editor#
Open Settings → Editor → Color Scheme. Duplicate a bundled scheme before editing it so you keep an easy route back to the supplied palette. Adjust language-specific colors, comments, selections, and diagnostics, then check several file types.
Set font family, size, and line spacing under Editor → Font, or in the active scheme’s font preferences when using scheme-specific overrides. A font change can affect alignment and perceived contrast without changing the theme palette.
Platform appearance#
Islands geometry, tab layout, and UI scaling depend partly on the IDE version and appearance options. Select an Islands variant where provided and supported. Match the editor scheme to the theme when comparing against screenshots.
Restore defaults#
Select another theme and reselect the desired supplied variant. If you created a custom editor-scheme copy, choose the bundled matching scheme again. Disable competing appearance plugins when diagnosing a setting that changes back unexpectedly.
