Troubleshooting

Diagnose setup and workflow problems in DBML Pro.

A relationship or table is missing#

Check for DBML syntax errors and unresolved module imports. Clear the active DiagramView or lineage filter before assuming a table is absent from the schema.

SQL import omitted statements#

Review the skipped-statement report and confirm the selected SQL dialect. Compare keys, defaults, constraints, and sample records against the original before adopting the result.

CLI actions fail#

Run dbdiagram from a terminal, check Node.js and the explicit CLI path, and log in with the CLI. Confirm that the selected project is linked to the intended remote diagram before retrying a push.

Report an issue#

Use email support and include:

  • Your IDE edition and full build number from Help → About.
  • The installed plugin version; this manual covers 2026.2.4.
  • Relevant external-tool versions, the failing action, and a small reproducible example.
  • The error message and relevant log excerpt, with credentials and private project data removed.

Use Help → Show Log in Finder/Explorer to locate IDE logs when requested. Describe what you expected to happen and whether the same operation works from a terminal.
