Configuration

Settings, tools, and project configuration for reStructuredText Pro.

On this page

Rendering#

Open Settings → Tools → reStructuredText Pro. Choose Built-in or Sphinx rendering, preview update delay, scroll synchronization, Sphinx Design extensions, and the optional debug toolbar.

Sphinx executable#

Select or auto-detect sphinx-build in plugin settings. Release 2026.2.4 supports common Homebrew, virtual-environment, Conda, pyenv, and user-level installations. An explicit path is useful when the IDE starts without your shell’s PATH.

Project root#

Open the child Project settings page and set Docs root for project-absolute paths such as /_static/images/.... Keep the Sphinx configuration and referenced sources within the intended documentation project.

Editing#

Use the Generate menu for formatting and table creation. Configure colors and inspections in the IDE’s standard Editor settings. Injected code gets the language support available in the host IDE; rendering code highlighting is a separate capability.
