Antora, diagrams, and export

Resolve documentation projects and produce rendered deliverables.

On this page

Configure an Antora project#

Open Tools → AsciiDoc Pro → Project settings and select the playbook and documentation root. Paths inside the project can be relative to the IDE root; external locations use absolute paths. Confirm the component descriptor, module layout, and navigation files used by the real site.

Antora stores pages, partials, examples, images, and attachments in distinct families. Keep cross-references and include targets appropriate to that layout. A source-file preview should be compared with the actual Antora build before publication.

Render diagrams#

Configure supported PlantUML, Mermaid, or Kroki behavior in the main settings. Check the selected renderer and whether it runs locally or uses a service before sending private diagram text. Test a small diagram before diagnosing a large generated graph.

Export a document#

Choose the desired export and destination. HTML and browser-PDF exports preserve the preview’s rendering context, including images, attributes, extensions, and diagrams, and wait for rendering to complete. Other formats may use external tools and their own options.

Open the result and inspect links, images, table layout, and diagrams. For PDF via an external converter, confirm the configured executable and fonts. A successful conversion does not guarantee an identical layout across HTML, PDF, and word-processing formats.
