Troubleshooting

Diagnose setup and workflow problems in Mojo Pro.

On this page

Mojo files open as plain text#

Confirm the plugin is enabled and inspect file-type associations for .mojo. Remove a conflicting plain-text association before reopening the file.

The SDK is incompatible#

Check the explicit SDK path, project environment, and mojo --version. Select a supported SDK rather than changing only the executable on your terminal’s PATH.

File debugging is unavailable#

Use a Pixi-based SDK and verify its LLDB DAP assets. A working uv run configuration does not imply that the wheel layout supports debugging.

An import fix is missing#

Ensure the symbol is public and its module is indexed. For standard-library symbols, configure or locate the stdlib sources. Unknown symbols intentionally do not receive fabricated import suggestions.

Report an issue#

Use email support and include:

  • Your IDE edition and full build number from Help → About.
  • The installed plugin version; this manual covers 2026.1.12.
  • Relevant external-tool versions, the failing action, and a small reproducible example.
  • The error message and relevant log excerpt, with credentials and private project data removed.

Use Help → Show Log in Finder/Explorer to locate IDE logs when requested. Describe what you expected to happen and whether the same operation works from a terminal.
