Preview and Marko Run routes
Preview components and navigate application pages.
Preview a component#
Open a .marko file and select Split or Preview. Install the project’s dependencies first so its Vite toolchain can compile the component. Enter JSON input matching the component’s expected Input shape, then edit the source and confirm that the preview changes.
Use viewport presets to check responsive layouts. A preview compilation error is useful feedback about the actual project; inspect the error before changing IDE rendering options.
Navigate Marko Run#
Open a Marko Run application and inspect its route tree. Browser gutter links on +page.marko files open the configured route. Related-file navigation helps move between files serving the same route, while route-aware href completion reduces misspelled links.
Set the base URL and route root under Settings → Languages & Frameworks → Marko Run. Start the application’s development server before following a browser link.
Create a project#
Choose File → New → Project → Marko and review the official Marko Run starter/template selection and destination. Generated projects receive npm configurations for scripts such as dev, build, and preview. Install dependencies as required by the starter and run the application before customizing it.
