Overview

What Nuxt Pro provides, its requirements, and where to start.

On this page

Nuxt Pro adds Nuxt workspace detection, configuration assistance, page-route and layout navigation, Nuxt/Nitro templates, project creation, and a tool window summarizing project health.

Requirements#

IDE compatibility: WebStorm 2025.2+. Check the Marketplace list for other editions and their supported versions.

The documented release is 2026.1.3. Its Marketplace compatibility starts at IntelliJ Platform build 252.0. Check the Marketplace compatibility list for your IDE edition and version before installing.

Use a Nuxt project with Node.js and its package manager. The plugin focuses on Nuxt-specific project behavior; Vue Single File Component intelligence also needs the appropriate Vue support in the host IDE. Existing Vetur configuration is detected but is not installed or executed simply by installing Nuxt Pro.

Install Nuxt Pro, then follow Pages, routes, and layouts. The configuration reference explains where to adjust the behavior for your project.

Current limitations#

Route discovery and layout references rely on statically recognizable project files and metadata. Nuxt-specific tooling complements the host IDE’s Vue/TypeScript support. Doctor findings reflect the versions it can discover and do not replace the framework’s release guidance or your dependency checks.

Release reference#

These instructions target the published 2026.1.3 release. Check the version under Settings → Plugins → Installed if your IDE behaves differently. For setup failures, start with troubleshooting.
