Configuration
Settings, tools, and project configuration for Elixir Pro.
SDK setup#
Configure the project’s Elixir SDK and its associated Erlang/OTP installation. IDEs with File → Project Structure expose project/module SDK settings; smaller IDEs use the Elixir facet and SDK settings. An Elixir SDK tracks an internal Erlang SDK because both are required to run the project.
Check the detected versions, especially when switching asdf, mise, vfox, Nix, or Homebrew environments. The SDK used by the IDE must match the environment in which the Mix project builds.
Language settings#
Search Settings → Languages & Frameworks → Elixir for plugin settings. Child pages include Expert LSP, Dialyzer, and Advanced. Native editing remains distinct from provider-backed diagnostics; configure providers before expecting their results.
Formatting and inspections#
Choose the built-in formatter or external mix format according to your project’s conventions. Configure Elixir inspections under Editor → Inspections. Credo settings and environment must match the project’s dependencies.
Debugger#
Set module filters to control which modules are interpreted during debugging. Avoid broadly interpreting dependencies unless needed, as it can slow the session. Run configurations retain their own task arguments and environment variables.
