    Diagnose setup and workflow problems in Slint Pro.

    The Designer is unavailable#

    Read the editor banner. Confirm JCEF is available in the IDE runtime, or choose native LSP preview. Check that a compatible runtime exists for the detected Slint version.

    The server version differs from the project#

    Check lockfiles and manifests, then the selected managed or explicit server in Slint settings. Restart the server after changing the choice and inspect the LSP4IJ console.

    Enable linked mode, select a valid Slint element, and ensure the source is writable. The Gallery inserts into the selected element, not an arbitrary canvas coordinate. Check the minimum Slint version shown for the entry.

    Report an issue#

    Use email support and include:

    • Your IDE edition and full build number from Help → About.
    • The installed plugin version; this manual covers 2026.1.8.
    • Relevant external-tool versions, the failing action, and a small reproducible example.
    • The error message and relevant log excerpt, with credentials and private project data removed.

    Use Help → Show Log in Finder/Explorer to locate IDE logs when requested. Describe what you expected to happen and whether the same operation works from a terminal.
