Overview

What Toolkit for Cloudflare provides, its requirements, and where to start.

On this page

Toolkit for Cloudflare brings resource management, local development, deployments, logs, traces, storage, Workflows, AI, GraphQL, billing, MCP tools, and platform status into a JetBrains IDE.

Requirements#

IDE compatibility: IntelliJ IDEA 2025.3.1+. Check the Marketplace list for other editions and their supported versions.

The documented release is 2026.2.7. Its Marketplace compatibility starts at IntelliJ Platform build 253.29346. Check the Marketplace compatibility list for your IDE edition and version before installing.

A Cloudflare account and API permissions are required for remote operations. Connect using an API token or supported OAuth login. For local development and CLI deployment, install Node.js and the project’s Wrangler dependencies. Resource availability depends on account entitlements and token scope.

Current limitations#

Cloudflare permissions, plans, and service availability determine which operations succeed. Deployments, SQL writes, message sending, object edits, and MCP operations can modify remote resources. Billing and status views provide service information and do not replace the account dashboard or application monitoring.
