Configuration
Settings, tools, and project configuration for ImageEdit Pro.
Plugin settings#
Open Settings → Tools → ImageEdit Pro. Auto-load matching project files when opening images restores an adjacent editable project when you open its source image. The optional debug toolbar displays editor state when troubleshooting. AI provider keys and generation defaults are configured here separately from ordinary local editing.
Tools and properties#
Choose a tool in the image editor toolbar, then adjust its appearance in the properties panel. Use selection and structured layers to rename, reorder, lock, hide, group, align, or distribute annotations.
Editable files#
Annotations for diagram.png are stored in diagram.png.imageedit.json. Imported bitmap layers use deduplicated assets in diagram.png.imageedit.assets. Keep these files with the source image when moving or sharing a project.
Save and export#
The primary Save action and platform Save shortcut write the editable project. Flattening the source image is a separate confirmed operation. Export creates a new output and can use the source frame, current selection, or all content.
Format support#
Original-file raster saving is limited to supported PNG, JPEG, and WebP workflows. For read-only input formats, use export instead. Codec availability controls which advanced formats can open; it does not turn every input into an editable original format.
