An advanced format will not open#

Read the format-specific codec message and install the corresponding library through your normal system setup if needed. Try a PNG copy to distinguish a codec issue from an image-editor issue.

Edits disappear on another machine#

Copy the source image, .imageedit.json, and any .imageedit.assets directory together. The flattened image alone does not retain editable layers, and JSON alone may refer to missing assets.

Save did not change the original image#

Save writes the editable project. Choose Export for a new flattened deliverable or use the separate confirmed source-flattening command when you intend to change the original.

Report an issue#

Use email support and include:

• Your IDE edition and full build number from Help → About.
• The installed plugin version; this manual covers 2026.1.2.
• Relevant external-tool versions, the failing action, and a small reproducible example.
• The error message and relevant log excerpt, with credentials and private project data removed.

Use Help → Show Log in Finder/Explorer to locate IDE logs when requested. Describe what you expected to happen and whether the same operation works from a terminal.
