Tinymist does not start#

Check the managed download or configured executable under Tools → Typst → Language Server. Inspect startup output and whether the IDE process can execute the selected binary.

Preview compiles the wrong file#

Pin the project’s main document and check root/path settings. Included chapters may depend on imports or definitions provided only by that main file.

An image or include is outside the root#

Check the configured project/document root and use valid project paths. Reorganize assets or choose the appropriate root instead of relying on an arbitrary external path.

Grammar checking is missing#

Confirm the installed plugin is at least the documented 2026.2.11 release and that the IDE’s natural-language support is enabled for the prose language.

Report an issue#

Use email support and include:

• Your IDE edition and full build number from Help → About.
• The installed plugin version; this manual covers 2026.2.11.
• Relevant external-tool versions, the failing action, and a small reproducible example.
• The error message and relevant log excerpt, with credentials and private project data removed.

Use Help → Show Log in Finder/Explorer to locate IDE logs when requested. Describe what you expected to happen and whether the same operation works from a terminal.
