Configuration

Settings, tools, and project configuration for Markdown Pro.

On this page

Main settings#

Open Settings → Tools → Markdown Pro. Choose Markdown flavor, scroll synchronization, preview copy format, and preview sizing. A documentation profile and a Markdown flavor solve different problems: the profile defines site behavior, while the flavor defines Markdown parsing.

Documentation and MDX#

Expand Markdown Pro → Documentation and MDX to select a detected framework or explicit profile, documentation root, live-preview URL, and orphan-page checks. Set the canvas color when the site’s transparent background is hard to read in the IDE.

Obsidian#

Use Markdown Pro → Obsidian for the vault root and vault-specific behavior. Folders containing .obsidian are detected automatically. Confirm the root before creating missing notes from the graph.

Conversion, templates, and presentations#

The child pages Document Conversion, Knap Templates, and Presentations configure their own executables, data sources, and server behavior. Use a managed Morph download or choose a local executable; verify its displayed version before converting a project.

Preview size and copy#

Use Tools → Markdown Pro → Preview Size, or Cmd/Ctrl +, Cmd/Ctrl −, and Cmd/Ctrl 0 while the preview has focus. Configure per-tab, project, or file size persistence on the main settings page. Select rich text, HTML, RTF, plain text, or browser-default copying for the destination application.
